Food and Restaurants

You won't go hungry in Wales. If you plump for traditional food, you can fill up on Laverbread (it's made from seaweed), Bara Brith (a tasty sort of fruit bread) or Welsh Rarebit - that's cheese on toast with a difference: beer, butter and a little mustard.

Armless Dragon

We've got some of the finest produce in the world. It's definitely worth trying some local cheeses, and of course there's always the famous Welsh beef, lamb and seafood.

Penderyn Welsh Whisky, meanwhile, offers a unique flavour. This single malt is made with Welsh spring water and distilled in the Brecon Beacons, and is distinctly different from its Scottish and Irish counterparts www.welsh-whisky.co.uk

Of course, we've also got food from all corners of the globe - it's pretty easy to find Italian, Chinese, Japanese, French, Indian, Mexican, American, Spanish, Thai, Portuguese or Hawaiian food as you travel around Wales.
